Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Inpatient Coder – QA Specialist with strong inpatient coding and audit/quality assurance experience. The role will be responsible for reviewing inpatient coding accuracy, conducting quality audits, ensuring compliance with coding standards, and providing feedback to improve coding quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform quality audits of inpatient medical coding records.

• Review coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable coding guidelines.

• Identify coding errors, discrepancies, and documentation gaps.

• Provide feedback and recommendations to coding teams to improve accuracy.

• Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain coding standards.

• Apply strong knowledge of inpatient coding principles and medical terminology.

• Collaborate with coding and operations teams to resolve quality-related concerns.

• Maintain accurate audit documentation and reports.

• Ensure consistent application of coding policies and procedures.

• Support continuous improvement of coding quality and processes.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of recent and relevant clinical/hospital experience.

• At least 3 years of Inpatient Coding experience.

• At least 1 year of Inpatient Audit/QA experience.

• Must hold a PRN / Medical Allied license.

• Must have CCS, CPC, or CIC Certification – Inpatient.

• Strong knowledge of inpatient coding guidelines and practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Willing to work on a shifting schedule.

• Willing to work under a temporary WFH setup.

• Must be available to start ASAP.
