Role Summary

We are hiring a Compliance & Ethics Counsel Specialist specializing in Data Privacy to support the implementation of a global data privacy program. The role will conduct privacy assessments, support data subject rights and regulatory inquiries, monitor privacy laws and regulatory developments, provide legal research and guidance, and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external counsel. The position will also support contract privacy reviews, due diligence, process improvements, policy administration, training, and project initiatives while advising teams on data privacy risks and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct privacy reviews, country risk assessments, and Data Protection Impact Assessments

• Draft and improve data privacy processes, templates, and internal guidance

• Monitor global data privacy laws, regulations, and legal developments

• Support data subject rights and individual access requests

• Review and support negotiation of data privacy contractual schedules

• Support ventures and acquisitions due diligence activities

• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external counsel

• Identify data privacy risks and recommend appropriate actions

• Develop privacy training and communication materials

• Support senior data privacy counsels on advisory and operational matters

• Manage projects, process improvements, and ad-hoc privacy initiatives

• Provide Tier 1 support for data privacy inquiries and escalate issues appropriately

• Conduct legal research using traditional and GenAI tools

• Present project updates to leadership and business teams

Requirements

• Law Degree required

• 3–4 years of relevant Data Privacy experience

• Understanding of global data privacy regulatory principles

• Experience with privacy assessments, privacy reviews, and/or DPIAs

• Knowledge of data privacy contractual principles

• Strong legal research and analytical skills

• Excellent English communication, writing, and presentation skills

• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership exposure

• Ability to design process flows and metrics

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

• Power BI knowledge is an advantage

• IAPP certification such as CIPP/E is preferred

• Strong judgment, prioritization, and risk escalation skills

• Must currently be in the Philippines and have the right to live and work in the country
