Job Title :  RTR SME – Record to Report

Job Description

We are hiring an experienced RTR SME (Record to Report) to manage complex Finance & Accounting processes, including journal entries, month-end closing, reconciliations, reporting, fixed asset and lease accounting. The ideal candidate should have strong RTR domain knowledge, hands-on experience with SAP/JD Edwards, advanced Excel skills, and exposure to Lean Six Sigma and process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle complex Record to Report (RTR) activities, including journal preparation and posting.

• Perform month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset and lease accounting.

• Research open items and drive them to closure within agreed timelines.

• Perform quality checks and ensure accuracy, TAT, and SLA compliance.

• Prepare daily/hourly status reports and dashboards using Excel and PowerPoint.

• Identify process gaps, control issues, and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma and process improvement projects.

• Support new joiners and provide process guidance to Senior Associates.

• Communicate with customers and stakeholders through emails, calls, and governance interactions.

• Ensure compliance with customer requirements, internal controls, and process standards.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in Finance & Accounting / Record to Report.

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an RTR SME.

• Strong knowledge of Journal Entries, Month-End Close, Reconciliation, Fixed Assets and Lease Accounting.

• Working/expert knowledge of SAP or JD Edwards.

• Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, Pivot Tables, ageing and data analysis.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of reporting, compliance, controls, and SLA management.

• Lean Six Sigma certification or formal training preferred.

Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / CA / Finance & Accounting or equivalent qualification.

• Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10+2+3).
