What You'll Do

As an ANZ Payroll Specialist, you'll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll operations while ensuring compliance with Australian and New Zealand payroll legislation and delivering an exceptional employee experience.

End-to-End Payroll Processing

• Process payroll accurately and on time across various payroll cycles.

• Manage pre-payroll, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities.

• Process employee payroll transactions including:

  • New hires

  • Transfers

  • Promotions

  • Terminations

  • Overtime

  • Leave payments

  • Payroll corrections

• Perform manual payroll calculations including:

  • Gross-to-Net

  • Arrears

  • Retro Pay

  • Tax Adjustments

  • Overpayments

• Process payroll approvals and support payroll disbursement activities.

Payroll Compliance

• Ensure payroll complies with Australian and New Zealand legislation, client policies, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

• Apply knowledge of:

  • Fair Work Act

  • National Employment Standards (NES)

  • Modern Awards

  • Enterprise Agreements

  • Superannuation

  • Payroll Tax

  • Long Service Leave

• Support statutory reporting, tax reconciliations, and year-end payroll activities.

Payroll Reconciliation & Reporting

• Perform payroll audits, reconciliations, and General Ledger validation.

• Prepare payroll reports, compliance reports, and management information (MIS).

• Support quarter-end and year-end payroll processing.

• Identify payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

HR Operations Support

• Maintain employee payroll records and tax information.

• Support Hire-to-Retire (H2R) HR processes.

• Assist with HR administration, employee document management, and leave administration.

• Ensure payroll data integrity and confidentiality.

Stakeholder Management

• Respond professionally to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and onshore stakeholders to ensure seamless payroll delivery.

• Support payroll audits and compliance reviews.

• Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• 1–7 years of experience in Payroll Operations, preferably supporting the Australia & New Zealand (ANZ) region.

• Experience working in HR Operations, Shared Services, or BPO environments.

• Hands-on experience managing end-to-end payroll processing.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA in Human Resources or equivalent.

• Australian Payroll Certification is an advantage.

• Experience with international payroll platforms such as:

  • Oracle HCM (Preferred)

  • Workday

  • MYOB

• Knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll integrations.
