FDA - Financial Data Analysts

Job Summary

We are looking for Financial Data Analysts with strong knowledge of accounting and finance to research, analyze, and interpret financial statements and broker reports of large global companies. The role involves financial data extraction, validation, reconciliation, quality checks, and ensuring compliance with global accounting standards.

Educational Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance

Key Responsibilities

• Research, review, analyze, and interpret financial statements and broker reports of large corporates across global markets.

• Analyze financial information from Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow Statements.

• Capture relevant financial data points and accurately tag them using designated applications.

• Perform transaction-based activities, rule-based decision making, data validation, formatting, and posting.

• Prepare various types of reconciliations, including system-to-system reconciliation, balancing, and open-item management.

• Prepare accurate reports and outputs as per business requirements.

• Perform continuous quality checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of finalized financial statements.

• Extract and validate key financial figures such as Revenue, Net Income, EPS, Weighted Average Shares, Income Before Tax, Income Tax, and One-Time Charges.

• Capture future estimated financial data from press releases, earnings calls, and company presentations for guidance analysis.

• Perform detailed number crunching and analysis of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow data.

• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness while meeting defined quality and productivity standards.

• Follow global accounting policies and standards, including US GAAP and IFRS.

• Apply knowledge of financial processes and relevant financial applications to complete assigned activities.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of Accounting Principles and Finance.

• Strong domain and accounting knowledge.

• Ability to analyze financial statements and financial data.

• Knowledge of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.

• Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to perform reconciliations and data validation.

• Willingness to work in rotational and night shifts.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience as a Financial Data Analyst.

• Experience in financial data analysis, accounting, reconciliation, or financial research will be preferred.
