Job Title: SAP OTC Consultant - Lead

Shift: 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Mid Shift)

Work Setup: Hybrid (3x onsite) at Zuellig Office, Paranaque

Max Budget: Flexible based on candidate experience

JOB PURPOSE:


The SAP Sales and Distribution & Transportation Management (SD & TM) Consultant will work with business stakeholders to define requirements through research and fact-finding and will develop or modify moderately complex designs, ensuring changes do not impact existing system functionality.


The consultant will provide support and enhancements to existing functionality within various system environments, including the design and implementation of new functionality. Responsibilities include interacting with end-users to understand requirements, prototyping, functional specification development, data mapping, configuration table setup, documenting configurations and end-user procedures, and conducting end-user training.


The consultant’s major responsibilities include handling support incidents, change requests, and approved prioritized enhancements while following existing change management procedures. The consultant should provide periodic status reports to the manager detailing the progress of ongoing projects and ensure assignments are completed accurately, timely, and based on priority. The consultant should be capable of accurately scoping task complexity, estimating effort, and scheduling work accordingly.



SAP SD/TM Projects and Implementations:


- Participate in and drive the collection of business requirements from end-user communities.

- Identify solutions that meet business needs and highlight potential issues, driving them toward resolution.

- Collaborate with IT and business users to map new business processes within SAP.

- Lead the definition of new processes and develop prototypes in test environments.

- Produce functional systems aligned with client requirements.

- Develop test scenarios, test plans, and document test results.

- Create functional specifications and assist programmers with functionality testing.

- Ensure successfully tested changes are transferred to production following proper change procedures.

- Validate that implemented solutions satisfy client requirements and operate effectively within the integrated system environment.

- Obtain client approval confirming successful completion of changes.

- Prepare and maintain configuration documentation, business procedures, and training materials.

- Undertake small integration projects across functional areas.

- Participate in medium to large cross-functional projects involving configuration and testing.



SAP SD/TM Application Support:


- Troubleshoot production issues and provide appropriate resolutions.

- Handle user inquiries and provide guidance on system usage.

- Complete routine maintenance requests.

- Track, resolve, and close service tickets according to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).



SCOPE OF WORK:



1. Identify Business Needs, Systems, and Requirements


- Lead the identification of business needs and system requirements.

- Conduct detailed analysis of business requirements and system specifications.

- Perform feasibility studies for proposed solutions.

- Provide analysis to support business case development.

- Support preparation of proposals for modified or replacement systems.

- Conduct risk and benefit analysis for proposed solutions.



2. Analyze Systems and Propose Solutions


- Analyze systems and processes to identify enhancement opportunities and resolve system gaps.

- Evaluate existing system capability to support proposed changes.

- Identify system deficiencies and performance gaps.

- Ensure proposed solutions align with business needs and requirements.

- Conduct feasibility analysis for system enhancements.

- Prepare proposals for recommended solutions and improvements.



3. Design Process Model and Authorization


- Document new processes and steps using company modeling tools according to approved solutions.

- Coordinate required SAP authorization and ABAP team activities.



4. Configure the System


- Document configuration based on approved solutions.

- Configure SAP SD/TM systems according to requirements.

- Manage configuration transport requests.

- Perform peer reviews of configurations and transports from team members.



5. Develop Functional Specifications


- Translate business requirements into functional specifications.

- Document specifications, interfaces between legacy and new systems, enhancements, and detailed requirements.



6. Manage Implementation of New Solutions and Enhancements


- Act as liaison between users and SAP ABAP teams throughout implementation.

- Develop test plans and test cases.

- Support users during change control and system updates.

- Escalate issues to relevant teams for resolution.

- Document post-test evidence, expected results, and defects.

- Coordinate training activities for new users.

- Prepare progress reports and training documentation.

- Develop technical documentation, design documents, coding documents, and user manuals.

- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and integration testing.

- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and according to requirements.



7. Computer System Validation (CSV) Support


Support CSV activities and documentation deliverables, including:


- CSV ES/ER Risk Assessment and Functional Risk Assessment.

- User Requirement Specification creation.

- Data Migration Plan and Report creation.

- Traceability Matrix and User Training Records.

- SOP creation for operational and retirement phases.



8. Production Incident and Request Support


- Manage SAP SD/TM support queue incidents and ensure updates, follow-ups, resolution, and closure within agreed SLAs.

- Assist business users with order-to-cash and transportation process inquiries.

- Complete routine maintenance requests according to SLA requirements.



9. Process Improvement and Optimization


- Identify opportunities to improve processes, system performance, and cost efficiencies.

- Prepare proposals for process improvements and system optimization.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


- More than 4 years of university studies (BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree with relevant major) or equivalent experience.

- 5 to 10 years of relevant SAP functional experience.

- Experience in independent solution development and implementation within the respective domain area.

- Ability to confidently discuss solutions with business stakeholders and decision-makers.

- Business-fluent English communication skills.

- Experience as a Product Team Member (PTM) with strong functional and technical expertise in a related domain (Engineer, Specialist, Consultant, etc.).

SAP OTC Core & Transportation


- 5 to 10 years of experience as an SAP Sales & Distribution and LE-Transportation Consultant with strong end-to-end order-to-cash and transportation process knowledge, including:

- ABAP skills for functional consultants are an advantage.

- Familiarity with SD integration with MM, FI, and EWM modules.

- Minimum of 2 full-cycle SAP implementation or rollout experiences.

- Strong troubleshooting skills for production support.

- Ability to drive requirements gathering, process discussions, and solution presentations with regional teams and business stakeholders.

- Knowledge of Agile methodology is an advantage but not required.
