Our client is looking for a Quality Auditor (Medical Coding) responsible for ensuring coding accuracy, compliance, and quality standards through structured audits and performance evaluation. This role requires strong expertise in medical coding, audit processes, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities
Perform daily coding audits based on assigned sample coverage

Maintain at least 95% coding accuracy in all audit outputs

Ensure compliance with Coding Compliance Policies (internal and client standards)

Identify coder performance gaps and recommend quality improvement actions

Collaborate with team members and leaders to enhance overall coding quality

Utilize and demonstrate working knowledge of the EPIC system

 

Qualifications
Must be certified by AHIMA or AAPC

Registered Nurse (RN preferred but not required)

Minimum college graduate

At least 4 years of medical coding experience

Prior BPO medical coding experience is required

Required Technical Expertise

 

Strong knowledge of:
Emergency Department (ED) and Observation coding

Surgical and bedside procedures

Injection & Infusion (IV push, chemotherapy, non-chemotherapy, hydration)

Proficiency in:

Modifiers usage

Surgical supply charges

NCCI edits resolution
