Lead Critical Payment Operations & Technical Support

We are looking for an experienced Operations Lead with deep expertise in TSYS Platforms, Production Support, Payment Systems, SQL, and Unix/Linux to oversee mission-critical operations and technical support.

In this leadership role, you will act as the primary technical authority, driving operational excellence, incident management, root cause analysis, and stakeholder coordination while ensuring high system availability, resilience, and performance across enterprise payment platforms.

This opportunity is ideal for professionals with strong experience supporting banking, financial services, payment processing, or enterprise transaction systems.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

• Serve as the primary technical authority for evaluating and validating TSYS platform solutions.
  
• Review and challenge solution designs to ensure they meet business, technical, scalability, and performance requirements.
  
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  
• Bridge the gap between operational ticket management and deep technical problem analysis.
  

Production Support & Incident Management

​

• Provide technical leadership during production incidents and operational bridge calls.
  
• Lead Level 2 (L2) production support activities.
  
• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution within agreed SLAs.
  
• Drive escalations using data-driven analysis and technical insights.
  
• Reduce recurring incidents by identifying underlying system issues and implementing long-term solutions.
  

Platform Performance & System Reliability

​

• Monitor system health, stability, and operational readiness.
  
• Ensure system resilience, failover readiness, and service continuity.
  
• Identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
  
• Proactively mitigate operational risks and prevent service disruptions.
  
• Review transaction processing performance and platform scalability.
  

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Coordinate with internal teams and external technology partners to resolve production issues.
  
• Track issue resolution progress and ensure timely closure.
  
• Drive accountability across stakeholders while maintaining effective communication.
  
• Participate in operational governance meetings and technical reviews.
  

Required Qualifications

​

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  
• 8–10 years of relevant experience in Production Support, Payment Systems, Technical Operations, or Enterprise Support.
  
• Leadership or Lead-level experience managing production operations and technical teams.
  
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Stable employment history (not a job hopper).
