Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to oversee technical operations and production support for critical payment systems. This role requires a strong background in TSYS platforms, production support, root cause analysis, SQL, and incident management. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical authority, working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to ensure operational excellence, system stability, and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical authority to review and challenge proposed TSYS solutions.

• Evaluate solution designs, including performance, scalability, and transaction processing capabilities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align technical solutions with business requirements.

• Bridge the gap between ticket management and in-depth technical analysis.

• Leverage TSYS expertise to assess contractual and technical commitments.

• Drive escalations with clear, data-driven insights and recommendations.

• Provide hands-on leadership during production incidents and operational calls.

• Strengthen L2 production support by enabling faster issue triage and root cause analysis.

• Ensure system resilience, operational readiness, and effective failover planning.

• Identify gaps, delays, and inconsistencies in technical responses and drive timely resolution.

• Proactively mitigate operational risks, including performance bottlenecks and critical production issues.

• Perform incident triage, root cause analysis (RCA), and issue resolution within agreed service levels.

• Serve as the primary point of coordination with TSYS and other key stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required

• College graduate.

• 10+ years of relevant experience in technical operations or production support.

• Strong hands-on experience with TSYS platforms.

• Extensive experience in production support and incident management.

• Strong knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards.

• Proficiency in SQL.

• Experience working with Unix/Linux environments.

• Database management experience.

• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools such as:

  • Splunk

  • AppDynamics

  • Dynatrace

• Strong expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

• Experience managing ticket queues and production incidents.
