Role Summary

We are hiring a Strategic Growth Initiatives Counsel – Associate Manager to support an AI & Data business team within the technology sector. The role will provide product counsel support for new AI and software offerings, conduct legal assessments, support go-to-market activities, and develop subject-matter expertise in emerging technologies. The position will collaborate with cross-functional legal teams covering contracting, intellectual property, data privacy, regulatory matters, resale, and strategic partnerships, while also supporting ventures and acquisitions activities, legal research, process improvements, and leadership communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Support AI & Data business teams by assessing new services and product offerings

• Provide general product counsel and legal guidance for go-to-market initiatives

• Develop expertise in AI, Data, software, LLMs, generative AI, and agentic AI

• Serve as a legal point of contact for business and asset teams

• Collaborate with legal teams across contracting, IP, data privacy, regulatory, resale, and strategic partnering

• Support contracting teams with playbooks, templates, and selected deal-related matters

• Support Ventures & Acquisitions teams in evaluating prospective AI & Data acquisition targets

• Conduct legal research relating to technology and emerging regulations

• Develop and improve legal processes, tools, workplans, and efficiency initiatives

• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and guidance materials for leadership and business teams

• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory trends affecting AI, software, and technology

Requirements

• Graduate Law Degree (JD) and applicable bar admission or local equivalent

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a corporate or law firm environment

• Relevant experience in AI, software, and non-transactional legal work

• Experience advising on software and preferably AI-related matters

• Knowledge of SaaS, software licensing, and AI-related contract structures

• Understanding of AI and technology regulatory requirements or willingness to learn

• Strong commercial acumen and ability to work effectively with ambiguity

• Excellent organization and ability to manage multiple workstreams

• Strong English verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to collaborate with global and cross-functional teams

• Ability to work with US time zones

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

• Strong interest in continuous learning and emerging technologies

• Must currently be in the Philippines and have the right to live and work in the country
