Job Title: Global Director – Tax

Location: Philippines – BGC Taguig, Cebu, Davao, or Clark, Pampanga

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Global Director – Tax to lead tax strategy, compliance, audits, tax controversy, and global tax operations. The role will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Legal, Procurement, HR, Operations, and external tax advisors across multiple geographies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead global and regional tax operations, compliance, and tax strategy.
• Oversee tax audits, assessments, tax controversy, and legal tax research.
• Manage India and United States tax compliance with local consultants and advisory firms.
• Support Philippine, US, and India tax requirements and cross-border tax matters.
• Lead geographically distributed tax teams and drive capability building and succession planning.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, Legal, HR, Procurement, and Operations.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, legal-entity restructuring, international expansion, and tax transformation initiatives.
• Implement tax technology, workflow automation, compliance calendars, and tax-control frameworks.
• Provide guidance on transfer pricing and tax accounting, including ASC 740.
• Drive process improvement and strengthen the overall tax operating model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Taxation, Law, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification preferred.
• JD, LLM in Taxation, or legal tax specialization is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of progressive tax experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a senior leadership, regional, or global tax role.
• Strong experience in tax audits, assessments, tax controversy, legal tax research, and interpretation of tax laws.
• Experience with India and US tax compliance is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Philippine, US, and Indian tax requirements and cross-border taxation.
• Experience leading geographically distributed teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in multinational, shared-services, BPO, healthcare, or professional-services environments preferred.
• Experience with tax technology, automation, and tax-control frameworks is an advantage.

Work Schedule

Flexible to work on shifting schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business requirements.
