Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Lead to manage Accounts Payable operations in a BPO environment supporting a global retail client. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AP operations, Vendor Master Data Management, people management, and stakeholder engagement, along with experience in process transitions and service stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day Accounts Payable operations.

• Manage and mentor a team of Accounts Payable professionals.

• Oversee Vendor Master Data Management (VMD) activities and ensure data accuracy.

• Monitor operational performance, productivity, quality, and service-level metrics.

• Manage relationships with customers and client stakeholders.

• Coordinate with offshore, remote, and geographically distributed teams.

• Support operational transitions, service stabilization, and process transformation initiatives.

• Identify process gaps and implement continuous improvement opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with established processes, controls, and client requirements.

• Handle escalations and provide timely resolution to operational issues.

• Prepare and communicate operational updates and performance reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

• 6–10 years of experience in Accounts Payable operations.

• Minimum 2–3 years of people management experience.

• Strong experience in Vendor Master Data Management (VMD).

• Prior experience in a BPO, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environment.

• Experience managing offshore, remote, or geographically distributed teams.

• Strong customer and client stakeholder management experience.

• Experience in operational transitions, service stabilization, or process transformation is preferred.

• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Willingness to work 100% onsite in Cebu City on a night shift.

• Candidates who can join immediately are preferred.
