Work Setup: Onsite - 5 days work from office. Month-end close includes 1 weekend

Role Purpose:

This role is responsible for executing complex processes that involve greater subjective thinking and processing a high volume of basic transactions. Should have at least 3 years of relevant work experience as Subject Matter Expert in similar processes with good communication, organizational, interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Excel. Should have expert level knowledge of ERP preferably SAP or JDE, experience in reporting and compliance, and be capable of handling stringent timelines and stakeholder interactions.

Key Accountabilities:

- Perform complex processes relating to journal entries preparation and posting, Month end Closing activities, Reporting, Fixed Asset and Lease accounting

- Reconciliation of Cash and other Balance sheet items including ability to research open items and drive to closure

- Complete activities as per customer statement of work

- Meet Targets of TAT and Accuracy

- Be self-reliant to undertake and complete assigned work

- Perform Quality check of Sr. Associates and give feedback

- Evaluate Internal control gaps and implement controls to avoid errors and repeat issues

- Act as Buddy to new joiners and other Sr. Associates requiring support

- Report hourly and EOD status of activities performed

- Provide daily update to customer on progress through interaction emails and calls

- Prepare dashboards using Excel and Powerpoint

- Identify process gaps and provide controls to mitigate and monitor closure

- Identify process improvement opportunities and take up improvement projects to closure

- Operate extended hours during month-end, quarter-end and to clear backlogs

Education:

- Minimum 15 years of regular, full-time education (10 + 2 + 3)

- Non-technical graduation and/or masters in finance and accounts stream - http://B.Com, http://M.Com or CA Complete preferred

- Bachelor's/Master's in Finance and Accounting or equivalent with ERP certification / proficiency

Must Have Skills:

- Lean Six Sigma certified or formally trained (Black Belt preferred)

- Finance and Accounting domain experience

- Proven track record of leading and/or mentoring multiple Lean Six Sigma improvement projects

Good-to-Have Skills:

- Continuous Improvement / Lean and Six Sigma

- Stakeholders Coordination

- ERP Exposure (JDE/SAP)

Technical Capabilities:

Systems:

- Expert knowledge of SAP or JD Edwards

- Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Expert level Excel skills: IF, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PIVOT, CELL REFERENCE, AVERAGE, AGEING, DATE FORMAT, TEXT to TABLE

5-8 years of experience in Record to Report with at least 3 years as SME. Working knowledge of ERP preferably SAP or JDE, experience in reporting and compliance, and handling journal entries, month end close, fixed assets, lease accounting, and reconciliations.
