Role Overview

TCS is hiring an experienced Payroll Lead to manage end-to-end payroll operations for the ANZ region. The role involves payroll processing, payroll governance, compliance management, payroll reporting, HR systems management, client coordination, team leadership, audits, process transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in global payroll operations with expertise in Oracle HCM, Workday, SAP, payroll compliance, tax regulations, and ANZ payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end payroll operations including pre-payroll, payroll processing, and post-payroll activities.

• Manage ANZ payroll operations and ensure accurate payroll delivery.

• Handle complex payroll calculations including Gross-to-Net, arrears, retro pay, tax adjustments, and termination payments.

• Ensure payroll compliance with tax legislation and statutory requirements.

• Manage payroll reporting, governance, and SLA adherence.

• Prepare payroll reports, forecasts, tax returns, and regulatory submissions.

• Perform payroll validations to ensure accurate payslips and timely payments.

• Manage client escalations and provide corrective and preventive actions.

• Lead payroll transition activities including Due Diligence (DD), Knowledge Transfer (KT), and ramp-up phases.

• Conduct payroll audits, system audits, and database validations.

• Support SOX audits and internal control requirements.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

• Manage payroll teams, performance tracking, training, and resource utilization.

• Collaborate with HR, Finance, Business Support, and client teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10–12 years of Payroll Operations experience.

• Strong ANZ Payroll experience.

• Experience in Global Payroll / HRO operations.

• Strong knowledge of Oracle HCM (Mandatory).

• Experience with Workday and SAP.

• Payroll Processing and Payroll Governance.
