France Payroll Team Lead*

Job Overview

Lead end-to-end France payroll operations and GL accounting activities in a shared services/BPO setup. Own payroll accuracy, compliance with French statutory regulations, month-end/year-end close, and GL reconciliations. French language is an advantage, not mandatory. Strong France payroll domain expertise is essential.

*Key Responsibilities*

- *Payroll Operations:* Lead end-to-end France payroll processing. Manage inputs, validations, calculations, and final payroll cycles. Ensure accurate and timely execution per French statutory, tax, and social security rules

- *GL & Month-End Close:* Handle payroll-related General Ledger postings and reconciliations. Drive month-end and year-end payroll closing activities

- *Compliance & Quality:* Review payroll outputs for salary, deductions, and benefits accuracy. Ensure compliance with local regulations. Support audits with reports, documentation, and records

- *Stakeholder & Issue Management:* Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external stakeholders for inputs and resolution. Investigate and resolve discrepancies/escalations within SLA

- *Leadership & Improvement:* Mentor junior team members. Maintain process documentation and internal controls. Drive process improvements and automation in payroll ops

*Required Skills & Experience*

- *Domain:* 5–10 years in payroll operations with strong specialization in France payroll. Hands-on end-to-end payroll lifecycle management

- *Compliance:* Strong knowledge of French payroll regulations, statutory compliance, and taxation. Experience in payroll accounting & GL reconciliation

- *Execution:* Month-end close experience, Escalation/issue resolution, Payroll systems/HR-payroll tools in shared services

- *Leadership:* Team management, Stakeholder communication, Delivering under strict deadlines, Strong analytical skills & attention to detail

*Preferred Skills*

Shared Services/BPO payroll environment exposure. European/multi-country payroll experience. Payroll reporting & audit support. French language skills = added advantage, but not mandatory with strong domain expertise.

- Strong France payroll domain experience required

- Payroll accounting & GL processing experience required 

- Must be comfortable working in Mumbai location

- Strong leadership experience preferred for Team Lead role
