Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst – Japanese Speaker to manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for invoice processing, payment execution, supplier reconciliation, month-end closing, compliance, and process improvements while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and validate PO, non-PO, contract-based invoices, prepayments, and down payments.

• Verify, scan, and manage Accounts Payable documents for accurate processing.

• Execute supplier payments and monitor payment schedules.

• Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding items.

• Handle internal and external vendor queries within defined SLAs.

• Support month-end closing activities, purchasing accruals, and AP reconciliations.

• Prepare operational reports, KPI reports, and audit documentation.

• Investigate payment issues and coordinate resolutions with relevant teams.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and internal controls.

• Participate in system enhancements, process improvement initiatives, testing, and automation projects.

• Maintain accurate process documentation and provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.

• Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or MIA are an added advantage.

• Minimum 2 years of Accounts Payable or transactional accounting experience.

• Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (reading, writing, and speaking).

• Experience with SAP or other ERP/Accounting systems.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.

• Good understanding of AP processes, financial controls, and compliance.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
